Project overview
In every orphaned child there is a story worth telling with hope, and a future worth building with care.
Companions of the Prophet ﷺ gives orphaned children complete monthly care: what they need to eat, to learn and to be looked after, in surroundings that keep their dignity intact and let them feel safe and settled.
The project sets out to sponsor 1,000 girls and boys for a full year, in the places where Wijdan Charity Association works — so that every child has someone standing beside them, and a real chance at a steadier start.
The main challenge
An orphaned child loses their support, but not their right to a life of dignity. That is what sponsorship is for. It is not only money: it gives a child the feeling of being held, keeps them in school, and lifts some of the burden from the family raising them, so that they grow up somewhere that gives them confidence and hope. Sponsoring an orphan is an investment in a person, and it reaches their family and their community too.
